NOTICE
MEETING CANCELLATION

The Arkansas Valley Conduit Advisory Committee meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2008 has been cancelled.  The next regularly scheduled meeting is May 27, 2008 at the La Junta Municipal Building at 10:00 a.m.  Please mark your calendars accordingly.

The three main items of work for the Committee are in an ongoing discussion phase.  The Project Water Allocation recommendation is in the hands of the District legal counsel to verify the process for proceeding.  We will have an answer for this process in time for the May meeting.

District staff is making progress on the STAG application but the final Fiscal Year 2008 Guidance document has not been released to the EPA regions.  A draft version has been released to the EPA Region offices and the State of Colorado for review and comment.  We have reviewed the draft version but cannot file an application until the Region 8 Office notifies us.

A written legislative update regarding progress on the Conduit legislation will be forwarded to you shortly.
